Yeah I remember the Flumps. I used to love them. The "trumpet" was a metal watering can wasn't it?

Does anyone remember "Noggin the Nogg" or "Ivor the Engine"? And the original animated (puppet not cartoon) Moomins (I still think it was a bit scary, but then Bagpuss was a bit freaky wasn't it?)

I never got into Captain Pugwash but I do remember it.

Never heard of Nogging the nogg

Asha, did you miss my post on page 1?

Bagpuss was not a freak, but I loved the mice.

You must all remember Rainbow.

Not many people have. So far I've only met one other person who can remember it (I'm 30 BTW).

I have heard of, or seen everything mentioned here......

what about BOD - creepy.................

Love Snoopy.......

One of my most over-used phrases is still 'greetings' pinched from Timothy Claypole.....

Bod was not creepy, he was the best, but I think the second part of the show was even better (choosing the milkshake), not too fussed with snap.

You guys are as bad as my boss. He can whistle all of the theme tunes... and does :ffs: .

He and my mate Gordon Clanger-talk to each other (it's a sort of melodic whistle thing) and it drives me nucking futs!

As a result of all this workplace irritation I've heard of all of the programmes mentioned above (I'm neither joking nor exaggerating). Transformers and Thundercats were favourites, but the Moomins scared the willies out of me and I didn't thnk much of Bagpuss (apart from the mice - "we will fix it, etc.")

Cheers,

Alan

The original moomins was all dark and the woods were well creepy. And they were like animated puppet things.

I guess the same sort of creepy as china dolls and proper wooden puppets (the showbiz ventriliquist type).

Nothing like the cute and cuddly cartoon that we get these days.

I've just discovered there's a campaign to get this version of the moomins on DVD:

moomins WERE scary! but they were also VERY addictive to watch, dunno why...i do miss it tho...dunno why i miss it either, maybe cos they were so different...

anyway... anyone remember Jayce and The Wheeled Warriors? that was classic saturday morning tv

then theres:

The Real Ghostbusters - brilliant

Thundercats - watched an episode recently that i downlaoded and it looked stupid, was graet back in the oooold days

He-man - he has the power, dont mess

Care bears - moving on swiftly

Galaxy High - do any of you remember this?? i loved this one. was about a high school in space (couldve got that from the name but nevermind)

Zelda - very rare cartoon, was only on for a few months i think. Dont think many people saw it. had stuff about the tri-force crystal in it

Mario (forgot the actual name of the cartoon) - wicked cartoon

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles - damn they were good (the new ones are *******)

Ren and Stimpy - sometimes sick and unwatchable, sometimes hilariously funny. Was always on at 6pm on bbc2

Dogtanian - dog does zorro. wining formula really

Rockos modern life - a spinoff from ren n stimpy, except funnier and less vomit-inducing

Count Duckula - didnt really like it but towards the end of the series it got really good

Inspector Gadget - undoubtebly the coolest cartoon ever in terms of gadgets

Tailspin - ill never forget that flying boat thing

Ducktales - never forget the theme tune and that big pile of money

Alvin and the Chipmunks - annoying most of the time but was good to watch when nothin else was on

Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers - they rocked, one of my favourites

Captain bucky O'Hare - WHY did they choose a rabbit? who cares it was excellent

Dungeons and Dragons - now this is a cartoon that i never got to watch but everyone else seems to have! maybe aliens erased this show from my memories...

The Racoons - didnt like them much, bit boring most of the time

Sharky and George - someone must rememebr this lol

Babar - gentle but good

Tons more that ive forgotten, there was this one called Dreamcast i think which was good
