Tyres / Alloys

Hello

I've been reading round this forum and other for some time . Finally got round to signing up .

I have a standard Hilux 3.0 D4D and have been looking around at putting some beefier tyres and alloys on.

I'm on standard ride hight and I'm looking at bfg all terrain tyres , the question is ideally I'm going to buy 16/17 inch alloys

Would 265/75/16 cause rubbing ? Any sizes which are sure to fit .

Thanks in advance for any replies

Michael

I am unsure as to what typr of 4x4ing you do, if it is through sand or over rock I would not increase the size of my rim too much. Just get a taller tyre, this way when you air down the foot print is far greater than if you increased both rim and tyre. It's a little hard to explain but you have to decide, form or function. as for the rubbing, depends what type of driving you are doing, talk to a tyre specialist and see what they recommend.
