Reversing Light Not Working

Hi All

Can someone point me to how to replace on avensis 2006 estate 2.0 d4d please,,,, looks like it is remove panel inside and bolts - is that correct - don't have any faults shown... where is fuse for this if their is one

Check the fuse box by the drives knee. The cover usually has a label mapping the fuse location and description. The term for the reverse light may be described as back up light.

If the fuse is also used by other devices and they are working, then obviously it is something else.

Not having your model, light bulbs should be accessed by a panels in the luggage area.

The only other thing is the reverse switch on the gearbox.

I've not had an estate either but, as Konrad says with the hatchback, there's an access panel in the boot for changing bulbs. There's a "board" which all the bulbs plug into, and the whole thing comes off by unclipping some clips (pushing them to one side IIRC). Remove the board and swap the bulb before you start checking wiring etc.

Thanks for advice guys - had to get my lad in with his smaller hands as when I was releasing the top clip to go onto the bottom one the top one kept reclipping back up - found faulty bulb at fault!!
