Black Box Power Boost For 1.8 Vmatic?

Hi there

I bought a 2011 vmatic manual tourer six months ago. Although I am generally happy with it I feel it could do with a bit more oomph.... especially torque. Having looked into it a bit been told that as the toyota ecu 'self learns' it cannot be mapped. However, one co. said they could fit a black box - basically an auxillary ecu - to plug in and give an extra 30 bhp and 70 Nm... and improve economy. Thoughts anyone? Prior experience on this gratefully received!

You will get a black box for a diesel, you will never get one for a petrol model to give you that sort of torque,

Honestly!! No chance, those figures would be difficult to achieve in a Turbocharged car and nigh on impossible on a naturally aspirated car without massive modification to Fuelling, cylinder head & exhaust system

You have confused a diesel tuning box for a petrol car
