Brand New Prius T-Spirit - Audio Not Working - Can Anyone Advise?

I've had my 2014 Prius for 3 weeks, all was fine. I connected my iPhone to the audio system and that was fine. I recall maybe "hard disconnected" the iPhoneby turning the bluetooth off on my phone. Now I cannot get any sound out of the system from any source at all. Is there a mute button I am unaware of? I hope there is a n easy solution as it really annoys me to have to take time off work to sit around a garage all day for someone to hit a reset button.

Hi David,

We also have a 2 month old Prius T Spirit. Does your sat nav speaker system work OK? Mine was set at the lowest level when we got the car. Took a while for me to find the volume for the Speakers which is on the lower left hand corner of the screen.

I also had trouble getting the hands free system to work. As it was a new car I rang the sales manager who was most helpful and booked a set time for me to take the car in. He got a member of staff to delete my phone and install his own and it all worked. He then deleted his phone and reinstalled my phone and it worked!!

You state you do not want to spend hours at the dealers getting your issue sorted; by contacting the sales manager and getting an appointment date and time solved that problem for me. The "Touch & Go system" is not easy to operate and I have still not got to grips with it all. The owners manual I found confusing as did the dealer I go to.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I've tried your trick but no joy. I don't get any speaker output for phone, navis, or audio. I think it's locked on the bluetooth setting. I note that on the audio source setting, there are 3 options - AM, FM, and bluetooth. Next to each option is a greyed icon/ logo. On mine, the logo next to the word bluetooth is always white, even if I select FM, The logo next to FM never goes white. Does that happen with your's?

Just checked on our car and bluetooth setting is white

Try going to settings. Scroll down and check the volume settings most of mine are set at 8. If I recall correctly the bottom one on the list is 4.

As I said I am not up to speed with the touch & go yet but if I can be of any assistance lrt me know. I still think you may have to contact your dealer unless somebody on this forum is an expert on this issue.

Thanks Chris. I depressed the top left hand tuning knob and music suddenly came through for a few minutes ( I was ecstatic) and then I stupidly tried to reconnect the bluetooth and now all is quiet again. It needs a reset and a shame there is no facility to do that without a dealer.

Hope you get it sorted. I would be interested to know how you get on. Our dealer sales manager was a big help to me, Contacting him saved me having to book the car at service. He did tell me when I bought the car if I had any problems to contact him.

I hope eventually to get to grips with the "Touch & Go". The Toyota videos make it all seem so easy!!

I know how frustrating it is having a problem with a new car.
