This is the result of dealer servicing

Their idea of care is to swamp the brakes in corrosive brake "cleaner"

So I am fixing it myself, they will never see my car again.

Is that stamp in your book really worth anything.?

It's quite normal to clean brake parts with brake cleaner - it's safer than brushing or blowing. Cleaner is a mixture of methanol, toluene and acetone - it's not corrosive and evaporates quickly. The first picture shows the backplates and disc shields (the latter are external parts) - it's not unusual for these to corrode badly from contact with road salt though yours is an exceptional case. Chassis and suspension parts in the vicinity of the hub indicates quite a bit of corrosion.

Obviously the devil is in the detail - I'm not one to defend dealers but, in fairness, it would be difficult to pin this one on Arnold Clarke.
