I always get confused about cat1 and cat2, which one is only alarm, and which one is alarm and immolizer

cat2 is electronic immoby

cat3 is mechanical immoby

there are others but they are the main 4

cat3 steering lock

cat3 gear/handbrake lock

does CCTV count?

i doubt CCTV counts as its not a vehicular deterent

cat 1 is the highest approved form of secutrity to qualify a CAT 1 alarm needs to have at least elec imob, interior sens, remote power, qualified installation only and loads of other techie stuff.

Cat2 - mediocre alarm system (usually self install)

cat 3... just a cheap ol' ugly mechanical device.

cat4 - a door key ?
