1Cd-Ftv D4D Engine Replacement

I need to source a new 1CD-FTV Engine for my 2002 Rav4. There is a plentiful supply or Corolla and Avensis engines but will they fit if I use some of the parts from the Rav4 or are they very different?

The engines are the same so will fit the Rav. There was a more powerful engine fitted to the Avensis and Corolla models - 2CD-FTV. Ensure you get the correct CD engine by checking the engine number.

Turns out the turbo and in fact nearly all ancillary bits are different on the Corolla to the RAV4 but of course it's the block that matters and all parts are being swapped over. Engine is out of the Rav from underneath and was not too difficult to do on the ground with an engine hoist
