get a decent friewall program and decent av package and you should be fine, just make sure they are updated daily and you don't install anything you don't need or know where it came from...

If you have broadband you should get yourself a hardware firewall. Linksys do some good kit for under a ton. Most of the firewall's also have a 4 port switch to allow other pc's to share the connection.

I have a Sony VAIO, had no problems with the net. Just use a good anti-virus programme.

i used Win Server 2003 Enterprise for a week or so , i still have the disk here.

The AV we use here at the uni, works excellently with it

Ryan

Whether the PC is a Vaio or not, they are all the same.

Get a quality AV and make sure the def's are updated a least twice a week. Get a full version fire wall running as well, and it will be fine.

The LAN here at the uni is full of viruses, but im running Zonealarm Pro and MCafee AV and ive never had a prob

what's the point of having a computer if it can't use the internet m8?

I'd like to use mine wirelessly, and I will when I move into town and setup the wireless broadband lan :)

Outside, Pint, GTA Vice City, MSN, TOC =
