Auris Indicator Problems

my 2008 Auris has developed indicator fault ,,,i have to hold the indicator stock up and move it about to make it work and same on left side ,anyone have the same problem or know how to fix it,

there was post way back on an aygo with the same problem,the guy who owned it fixed it himself ,wondering would this work on an auris just the same

Most people would probably fit a new one so I don't think you'll get an answer on this. If you're confident with disconnecting airbags etc then give it a go and see. The theory from the other thread stacks up with any other indicator switch I've had in my hands, ie there's a mechanism which turns with the steering wheel and it can wear, so if it can be re-aligned or adjusted in some way then it'll work.
