How do you turn off the alarm on a pre facelift Auris

do you mean when locking the car?

or motion sensor?

or when it is sounding?

Going off with the fireworks

just lock the car mechanically (i.e. key in door lock).

Or in my T180 press the button above your head in the console while in the driving seat - turns the in car sensor off. So the alarm only goes off when the doors are compromised.

When you have stopped and about to get out press this button and lock the car within 5 minutes - turns off the sensor inside the car.

(It's only taken me 18 months to discover this by reading the manual. :-) )

Ye that didn't work for me fireworks still setting the alarm off

It's a very useful feature though, as it stops the dog/kids setting off the alarm when you pop into a shop for 2 mins !

Ye I thought that and the missus locked the car with herself and the kids in while I went into the shop ( the area I grew up was a bit dodgey) and she set the alarm off then
