IIRC you hold the button in for a few seconds until the clock hours flash, then press the button to advance the hours, then leave for a few seconds until the minutes flash instead, then press to advance the mins, then leave for another few seconds til the whole clock flashes, and press again.

Edit...it's the same button to change from odo to trip miles IIRC.

Does the button work when changing from miles to trip miles to dash dimming? Also, thinking back, the clock might not flash (as I earlier stated), but the minutes disappear leaving only the hours to advance through, then after leaving it for a few seconds it starts to flash before moving on to showing only the minutes, then flashing after leaving for a few secs, then flashing the whole clock.

nope no dash dimming taking place - looks like its boogered and no disapearing of numbers either - think I will buy a cheap dash mounted clock and make do..

Does the button change the display from mileage to trip miles? This would tell you whether the button works.

The button also does the dash dimming but you need the headlights on for the option to be there, and I'm sure I read somewhere you also need the doors closed. The dash dimming shows as a set of dashes in the display.
