Seeking some advice please; ive got a black 2012 Aygo Fire. Smoked windows and LED DRLs look cool but i'm not very impressed with the headlights.

One of my front fog bulbs has blown too; so i'd like to replce all the front bulbs for something brighter. I dont want a chavvy look, but want something brighter and whiter. I did wonder if it was possible to keep the DLRs on with the headlights, but reading stuff on here suggests not (although i have seen a few new cars that have LED DLRs on with the headlights (dont know if they dim for that - new Citroen Picasso for example)

Any advice on what bulbs i should use for head/side and front fog lights please?

Headlight bulbs should be H4's - go for something like Philips X-treme Vision + 130%, Ring xenon Ultima +120% or Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited +110%.

See - http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=h4%20upgrade%20bulbs&sprefix=h4+upgrade+bu%2Caps

Light bulb changes (headlight) are difficult in Aygo and that means you do not want to do it too often (certainly not in winter and when it is raining). Most of the above mentioned bulbs have short life. You would be lucky if you got more than 1year with them.I had the bulb with 120% claimed brightness (GE made) and that lasted just under one year. I would go for Philps ecovision H4. It has four times the life of above bulbs and is quite bright (brighter than the one the car came with). I have had Philips ecovision for the past year and it is certainly going to see me through quite a lot more years. The light output is good.

dont be put off changing the bulb it can easliy be done in 5 - 10 minutes per side i have found the most difficult part is to remove the

wiring connector off the back of the bulb but once thats removed find the locking ring press in at the top and slide to the side

the ring folds down then remove the bulb,if you have sausage fingers then you may struggle a little more ,we have used Halfords

ultra brilliance range 120% brighter and at the moment they are bogof.

My problem is not with the connector at the back since once removed and some Vaseline applied to it, it slides off next time . I did that two years ago and it still works. My problem is with that darn*d metal clip holding the bulb in place. It sits very hard and is almost non springy. Pressing and then pushing it out of the way almost results in finger injury and the worst is that you can not see it. It is all "feeling" with your finger. And imagine doing that in minus 10 deg C during Swedish winter. Now you all understand why I prefer Philips Eco vision, a fit and forget bulb for at least 4 years!
