Nightmare Buying D4D Injectors From A Scrap Yard Wish I Had Bought Rec

I have recently had injector issues on my verso 2.0 d4d 04. So took 4 out and had them tested at the local diesel specialists - he told me 2 were down and they would be 200 a piece for reconditioned. I looked on eBay and there were quite a few from scrap yards across the country. So I ordered 2 at 45 pound a piece with 30 day warranty, as 200 seemed to steep with Xmas looming. They arrived, so I unwrapped them - one was broke on the electric terminal so couldn't be used, and the other looked to be a bit scratched, but if it passed I would only need 1. So off I went and this one has failed at a different specialist. The chap said that at the start up the pressure was that hight that it could cause a miss fire. He didn't charge me for the test. I have now sent these back and have managed to find one with a test report and another that is from a low mileage scrapper. Anyway I have received the injector from the low miler and it looks sooted up, so I will be off to test this shortly. If this fails I am going to send back and buy reconditioned. I just thought I would share this with you as this might save someone the hassle of dealing with the scrap yards
