Emblem Fitted Incorrectly?

Hi All,

Had the car nearly two years and detail it regularly and never noticed this piece of bodywork coming from the front emblem down over the grill?

It looks as though it should fit behind the grill locking into place but it's on the outside? Can't find any pictures that close of other Auris' online and there's no MK1s around here to see so can someone tell me if there's has this bit as well?? (See attached pic)

On the following photo, the Badge tab does appear to be tucked behind the grille. To me. the tab on yours seems to be bent forwards.

Just had a look on mine and that tab sits behind the grill. Agree with Frosty. Looks like yours has pulled out.

How the heck has that happened?! I can't see how this would happen during normal driving. The car has been in at Toyota for a respray a few months ago, they could've had the bumper off or something then?

I can't see how it will go back in either without taking the bumper off?

This is not normal, I've taken the bumper off and put it every time inside. Possibly you can bend that part a bit and try to get it slip inside. Maybe the only way will be to remove the bumper, upper grill and place everything correctly.
