Weatherseal Gap?

Hi all, recently I have noticed that a 3/4 inch gap has appeared at the top right hand (O/S) corner of the windscreen weatherseal? The edges are streight and it looks like a squarish piece of the weatherseal is missing? (you can see the actual edge of the glass) As a quick fix I have squeezed and shaped some clear silicone and let it dry to fill the gap!

Is there a piece missing? I think there must be unless the whole seal has shrunk!?

TIA, Steve

There is a separate piece of trim at the base of the side of the windscreen which curves inward slightly on each side. If one of these works loose the rest of the trim can drop down creating a gap at the top.

You'll see loads of 4.2 Ravs with the windscreen bottom corner pieces missing - the adhesive dries out and the trims become loose. The corner trims are not available separately - they come with the side pieces and even aftermarket trims are around £38 per side (Rejel)! Hence loose corner pieces are a popular theft item. Unless they're secure - remove them and clean them up and stick them securely in place with clear silicon adhesive.
