2001 RAV4. 1.8 VVTi NV.

Can anyone tell me a few things about this model RAV?

1) Is it definitely a 4x4 or just front wheel drive?

2) Does it have a Chain Cambelt?

3) Roughly what MPG would I get compared to the 2.0 L?

Seen one advertised locally so might do some sort of a swap with my 1998 RAV 2.0L 3 door.

Yes FWD and chain driven camshaft. Being FWD only and 1.8l it will be around 10 - 15% more fuel efficient than the same model with 4WD and a 2.0l engine. This particular 1.8 engine of this era can suffer oil drinking and the NV is the entry model of the range.
