Does anyone or has anyone blanked off the egr on a 2ltr d4d anensis? If not, do you think it will work if done and not cause any other problems. Fed up takeing mine off and cleaning it. Thanks in advance.

have a read of this

http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/145982-d4d-1cd-egr-blanking-trial/

blanking it will cause the eml light to go on, not sure if the car will go limp mode. you could try blanking with a small hole.

the proper way would be to map it out of the ECU.

or you could just buy another egr, here is a example

Thanks d4d786 for your reply. To make matters worse the ecu can not be remapped if the egr valve is blanked off. Only other solution is to remove the dpf but that costs £550. I ain't paying that so I'm gona try blanking it off with maybe a small 6-8mm hole drilled into it.
