97 Camry Wont Start

my car won't start in the morning. i have a 4c engine. when i try to start it nothing happens. it won't even try to turnover. the lights, radio, and ac work fine, so does the clock. i have to give it a little gas to get it going than it is fine the rest of the day. My husband said this happened to him a few weeks ago when he used my car,but until yesterday i never had a problem. My Battery is less than a year old. i don't know much about cars, so if anyone can tell me what might be the problem i would appreciate it. My mechanic is excellant, but before i bring the car in i would like to know if this is a major problem that will take a long time to fix. thanks

If the Battery is fully charged,then check for a blown ignition fuse,starter relay or starter motor faulty or a problem with the Security immobiliser (if fitted)
