Obd Adaptations

Hi folks,

Coming from a VAG car background and being able to have a play with the ECU I were wondering are there any things I can play with on the Rav4 ?

A google search doesn't give many leads apart from a few bits of software, but most of these are for fault code scanning.

For example ...

Can power steering hardness setting be changed ?

Anti hijack (doors lock when you reach a certain speed) ?

Alarm beeps when locked ?

etc etc

You can programme anti-hijack but it activates with ignition not at a certain speed. It's also a long winded procedure. Much easier to buy an OBD plug in module which locks the doors at around 12MPH - see http://www.rav4world.com/forums/1067202-post20.html

The steering settings are fixed. I don't think that theres a programable method of setting a chirp when arming the alarm / locking.

Toyotas have nothing like the programable options you have on the likes of VAG.

May have to have a dig around for the anti hijack method as dont mind having a play. Managed to fit a stereo this evening which has opened up a few nice goodies, also means "cheap" map upgrades lol.
