Avensis T25 Head Unit Replace With Tns510

Hi, i have a 2006 T25 Avensis with the original head unit.

I want a new head unit and have been looking at the TNS510 from Toyota. The TNS510 is supposed to fit in the Avensis as far as i know.

The question is as following: Is the TNS510 plug and play in the Avensis? (same wiring or splicing needed). Did the TNS510 come with some models of the Avensis as standard?

Sorry I can't help re the fitting/wiring, but yes it was fitted as standard in some T27 Avensis. I have one of them.

Aha, so i guess it did not come with the T25 as standard then.

Found some pictures of both players taken from behind, looks like they have different connectors. The original cassette player in the T25 has only 3 connectors and the TNS510 have 7. (including the GPS slot).

So i guess it's not plug and play and splicing is needed.

The top right one is the antenna i think. The grey one under is the GPS. The others look the same but i don't know what the bottom left grey one and white one is.

No it was not fitted in any of the T25s in fact the eartly T27s had the earlier DVD based system from the T25 I don't think the TNS510 was fitted until possibly late 2010 or more likely 2011.

I know that all things are possible but it will not be an easy fit and almost certainly impossible for Joe public to do.

Good to know, i know how to do the job. But i will not start with splicing the original wires in this car.

I will be looking for a double din dab radio instead, sure it will not look as original as the TNS 510, but atleast i can put back the original player if i decide to sell the car.

But anyway, i have been looking at those Eonon players that are listed on this forum. Any of these that will go in the Avensis T25 nicely? The Eonon GA5167 or maybe the D5170?
