Wording from the Prius V article:

Toyota has introduced the 2015 Prius v at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Looking more aggressive than its predecessor, the facelifted model adopts a new front bumper, a revised grille and restyled headlights. The car also has a revised color palette with several new additions including Attitude Black Metallic, Absolutely Red and Toasted Walnut Pearl.

Interior changes are limited but include a newly available 8-way power driver’s seat (with power lumbar support) and an Entune infotainment system with a 6.1-inch display. Higher-end variants also receive a 4.2-inch TFT display in the instrument cluster which shows everything from climate control settings to navigation information.

The Hybrid Synergy Drive system carries over and consists of a 1.8-liter Atkinson-cycle engine and an electric motor. It produces a combined maximum output of 134 bhp (100 kW) and allows the model to return an EPA estimated 44 mpg city / 40 mpg highway (US).

Looking more aggressive than its predecessor,

Why would you want to look more aggressive in a Prius?

It already has a target on it. ;)

But the US Prius V is very different in many ways to the UK Prius+, but with a similar body Shell. I wonder if this update is for the US market which will be focusing on their needs and wants and the UK + will be tuned for here. What I'm wondering is if these cars will slowly develop into two very different vehicles even compared to how they are today.

Let's see what the UK Prius+ is going to become? Hopefully less expensive would be a start. 1,000 models sold a year isn't particularly inspiring. It's a cracking car and should be selling five times that number. With the Government becoming anti-diesel, Toyota should really see that as a sales opportunity and start pushing their hybrid range - even more than they do already.

Apart from the front end revamp, electric adjustable seats and the interior centre vents, it's pretty much the same as the current Prius+

I had heard that the 2015 UK Prius+ will get intelligent park assist back as standard in the Excel (previously T-Spirit) but loose the panoramic roof.
