Is there supposed to be a boot light in the new toyota aygo?

A 'luggage room light' comes with the x-tra premium pack and is also optional on the x-cite and x-clusiv.

We can have touchscreen technology and reversing cameras as standard, but not a light that costs a few pounds.

The Citroen C1 only comes with a boot light if the top of the range Flair is ordered with the Automatic Plus pack.

The Peugeot 108 doesn't offer one at all.

We have a boot light. It isn't very bright or useful but will be looking to replace the bulb with an LED at some point as we have done the interior and numberplate lights already.

Will re-post after upgrading bulb

For simplicities sake, I've used one of these - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kealive-Detective-Magnetic-Corridor-SL-L01/dp/B01IP5A7JK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477081003&sr=8-1&keywords=Kealive+PIR+Motion+Sensor+Light+Battery+Powered+Motion+Detective+Night+Light+with+Magnetic+Base%2C+5+LEDs+3+Modes+for+Cabinet%2C+Camping%2C+Closet%2C+Corridor%2Cetc(SL-L01)

The magnetic stand attaches to the seat back, hasn't fallen off yet, and I can move it to another part of the seat back if need or use it as a portable light. Detects motion when boot is open and turns off approx 20 seconds after last detecting motion. Uses three AAA batteries.

The plastic cover for the boot light clearly has a portion to hold the end of a wiring connector.  Does anyone know if the standard loom just has a loose connector behind the cover, ready for connecting a boot light unit?  On many other cars, footwell lights, interior lights etc that are missing on the poverty spec usually have the loom to take additional components, but does the Aygo?
