Time To Buy?

Hi to all members,

I have been lurking on this site for a few months now & have been very impressed with the insight by the members.

I am looking to buy a (nearly new) Prius+ up to 18 months old in the next 12 weeks but as Toyota have now anounced they are to take orders for the NEW model from Jan 2015 will I be better to wait for the new model to start to ship & then buy a late 63/14

or

By now (next 4 weeks) to get the best deal??

Bear in mind that the 'new' model is a mild facelift of the existing Prius+, so the effect on used prices of the pre-facelift model may not be much.

Autotrader suggests £22k+ for a 2013 Prius +

drivethedeal.com are supplying new 2015 Icons for £21,400 otr.....better to buy discounted, and new

Not sure what the situation is in UK, but here in Spain the advertised discounts on the Toyota range of hybrids seem strange -

For the mid-range trim:

Yaris 22%

Auris 19%

Prius 12.5%

Prius+ 10%

Prius PIP 9%

Obviously struggling with the smaller cars, which seems odd

Higher discounts on the Auris and Yaris probably due to the easier supply situation with those two models being sourced within the EU

Isnt' the import duty in the EU 10% for vehicles from Japan?

Cheers guys, i should have made myself a bit clearer !

I am looking to run it as a Taxi so was then looking for a 7 seat Excel (it's easier to wipe the seats down)

I have seen a number for around 23/24/25 K but my budget is around 23,000

I was wondering i would get a better deal just after Christmas or late January
