Hello everyone, I've just recently brought a 2013 Auris tourer sports excel. I wasn't sure at first how I would get on with the car! But spending more time behind the wheel the more I'm enjoying driving it! The handling feels great compared to other cars and is very comfortable. The best gadget I've used on the car so far is the park assist, it does feel strange having the car steer itself tho!! I've heard these cars do have hill start assist too even the manual ones, I think it will just take me time to get it to work!! But still loving the car!!

Welcome Steven - the new Auris seems to be very popular, good to hear you like it too. I took one for a test drive a few weeks ago & it was very nice. My only disappointments were the ride comfort (over firm dampers methinks) and a distinct lack of pulling power in the 1.6 petrol. A great looking car though & appears well put together :)

Hi uncle buck, yes I do find it a firmer ride to previous cars but I don't mind that, I had a Honda typeR years ago and that was still comfortable even after long journeys so I'm hoping the Auris will be the same! I'm not sure the lumber support is working correctly so I'll try it again soon and if no luck I'll take it back to the garage. Fully agree with the engine, I would have thought being variable value it would have had some poke in the upper reuse! But there again if I want some fast acceleration I've still got my bike!!. But all in all I am happy with the car! Reliability is my main aim these days :-)

Sorry for the spelling errors!! I did mean variable valve and the over being upper revs!! Serves me right for using my phone to type on here! :-S
