Oem Shock Absorbers

My Auris SR180 (2008) went through the MOT test today & thankfully passed, but there was an advisory on the passenger side shocker. It's showing some wear & tear, plus the beginning of a weep - minor enough to pass but needing replacement before long.

My question is this - does anyone know what the original fitment shock absorber is ? Monroe, Sachs, Toyota, etc ?

I'd rather replace like for like if at all possible ......

Thanks to anyone who can offer any factual info on this matter :)

Nobody's posted this site for a while so have a look here:

http://www.toyodiy.com/

Is a great site for looking up part numbers for... err... parts  :D

From that you might be able to find the original part...

I use that toyodiy but I went to Toyota and the system has updated bit not the online version so beware they might look at you confused when u ask for a part and also it's all in euros

Thanks for your replies folks :)

I thought someone might have changed theirs & maybe remembered what was on or went on in replacement. But I might take the wheel off that side tomorrow and have a look for any identifying marks.

The label or stamp is on the wheel arch side of the shock ( is on mine anyway )

I have original SR180 fronts taken off about 20k, and rears taken off about 50k. You can have the lot for £30 + postage( if ones gone the others might not be far behind what with the state of Scottish roads?)

Thanks for the offer Steve, but I definitely wouldn't fit shockers that have seen 50k when mine have done 68k. I'd rather fit one nice new one in the near future, as it is my intention to sell the car in a few months. The postage would be as much again anyway :)

Will most likely fit the replacement at the 70k ml service.
