I have a 2002 Avensis D4D (T22).The coolant temperature sensor requires replacing. I am not able to find the sensor. Does any one have a picture showing where it's located or better still video of it being removed. Nothing showing on U tube for this particular engine. Haynes don't do a manual for this particular model. Toyota want £96 for the sensor and if they fit its over £200. E-Bay want £10 for the sensor then I have to change myself.

Haynes do a manual for the Corolla covering the 1CD-FTV engine, I will look and get back to you.

Ive changed this sensor on my car 2 times (not Toyota). I brought a cheap sensor for £30 and worked well. Just take to local mechanic to fit it in, its literally a 2 minuite job and shouldent charge more than £10. My mechanic does myne free.
