Snow Woes

Went out today to see the snow on my car all frozen, so knowing I was going out later I started spraying de icer and then scraping the stuff off. But cause Toyota had designed the wiper so it won't lift up fully I now have a lump of the stuff underneath the wiper. I've now left it sprayed liberally with de icer to see what it does but if I had been able to lift the wiper up fully I wouldn't have this problem!

In icy and snowing weather I always park my wipers in the upright position, clear the snow then switch the wipers on to park normally

With the wiper on, turn off the ignition when the wiper is in the vertical position.
