Celica Gen7 Uk Jap/import Reg Plates

Hi all, got myself a astral black 2005 Toyota Celica T-Sport after making some subtle changes to the car one been the reg plates been a uk model has the long rectangular uk standard reg plates I'd like to fit he more square uk import plates which I believe are 13 x 7 inches my question is not the legality of it and would not want to discuss the subject. I wanted to ask about the figment of the import plates to the car is it easy enough to do, front and rear.? Will it leave any holes in the body from the previous size plate?

Is they anything about fitting or appearance I should know before committing to buying some new plates?

I would look at the car myself now to get an idea but weather isn't the greatest at the moment plus I figure someone on the forum would have done the plate change.

Out of interest, has your car had a full respray?, as the T Sport was never available in black.

No black is standard. You maybe thinking of the gt as they are are not available in black

Your car will be painted in Storm Blue.

The other T Sport colours are:

Lagoon Blue

Sahara Sun

Chilli Red

Thunder Grey

You aren't the first to think your car is black, and I'm sure you won't be the last :)

You could be right, I'll take a look at the paint code, but the colour is extremely close to black if it isn't,

Due to the legality issue of Import size plates on a U.K. car, you may not get a reply on the T.O.C. forum.

In which case you should try the celica-club.co.uk forum, which has a high percentage of owners into modifying their cars. Rightly or wrongly, the moderators are less strict on there in my opinion :)
