Rav4 2.2 D4D Starter Motor Testing/removal Method

Hi

Does anyone have, or is there such a thing as an idiot guide to testing contacts and if required, removing a starter motor on a 2.2 D4D RAV4?

If not, could somebody help me as I would like to sort out my car's lazy starter.

I've previously changed the Battery, had the alternator tested etc and all is good, but the starter still turns over very slowly. During the recent cold snap it refused to start at all so had to get Green Flag out to get it going.

So far I have removed the Battery, the underneath splash guard and the EGR valve for better access, but would be very grateful for a little guidance before going any further...

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
