Scangauge Ii And The Prius (Plug-In)

I've been thinking of getting a Scan Gauge II for a while, mainly out of curiosity to see the true traction Battery levels, and also get a display with the engine temp, to enable me to monitor it, and switch the cabin heat off when in EV mode in the PiP to prevent the ICE from kicking in when not necessary as the coolant temp drops with heater usage etc.

My main question is, how many on here have on that they use, and can the units such as temp etc be changed from F to C, as I keep seeing relations to F on Priuschat etc and nothing regarding Celcius (I'm I'm not one to be wanting to learn a new measurement unit).

Jonathan.

water temp seems to be only in F., and no C option according to this list......but shouldn't be too difficult to acclimatise to F Jono???

It is a standard one, use CWT instead of FWT. Although with my car I use a model specific custom xgauge "etc" instead of CWT, I can't remember why probably just because I entered the damn xgauge.

How is it done out of interest then? Can you advise so timberwolf can give it a try?

I really want a scan gauge, but will not be buying one if I cannot change the units.

One of the gauges is MPG, how do you tell the unit to divide by UK Gallons instead of US Gallons?

Not sure (I don't currently use that gauge as the display will show it anyway)...but from the snapshot I took of the page from the manual, as long as you are consistent with usage then it shouldn't make a difference, ie. As long as you enter the fuel tank capacity in gallons (and use imperial) then the mpg will be calculated as imperial too. (?)

When I first got mine, I entered my tank as 45 litres. With no option on mine to set imperial. How does it convert from litres to imperial gallons? Or are the gauges that include gallon not going to work for me because I selected litres?? As I said I don't understand and although I've read the answer supplied it really doesn't help my understanding as it says it is just a label - yet when I do my spreadsheet calculation of miles divided by gallons (it does matter that I convert the litres from my petrol receipt correctly).
