Did anyone join the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts when they were younger,???? was it any good, what did u learn?? did u have any fun???

I went to cubs, it was okay I guess.

Setting fire to marsh mallows at camp and stuff, was a good laugh!

Never went myself, but little un goes to cubs. He loves it, few weeks ago he did abseiling and he's only eight

Well that s it u see, my son Alex he is 8 in July loves the adventerous side of life and has more energy than he knows what to do with. He will make new friends, learn new skills and hopefully learn a bit more about life in general.

So I thought why not, he starts the cubs next week.

He'll learn loads, meet other like-minded people, have something to talk about at school and his energy will be used up with British Bulldog, hiking, orienteering, bob a job week and loadsa other crazy fun stuff......

And when you need a new dining table - he can whittle it from a branch......

I was a girl guide... but all I remember is being mischevous with all my friends whilst the leader shouted at us! :D

I dunno if its the same now but back when I did it it was very churchey - we had to go to church every month and do a church parade every quarter... but we did some really cool stuff aswell, like chip crawls and hiking! :D

Are they still run in conjunction with the local churches?
