After bumming about never needing anything for my car in the High Mileage topic I've had a wee bit of a setback. I took the car out of the garage this morning and noticed a bit of metal on the floor. I'm certain it's the end 6" of one of the front springs. One end is fine but the other end has been snapped off so it must be the bottom or top wee bit of the spring. I'm back to work tomorrow and it'll be a couple of weeks before I can get it into the garage to get it fixed. My questions are a) Is it safe to drive for a while at pretty low speeds and B) how much will it cost? I drove it about 6 miles today out for an early lunch and it was fine. Any advice welcome.
