Is it me or have mr2 prices dropped by a grand in the past few months!!!? was looking on autotrader n found this

saliyag-mr2.jpg

TOYOTA MR2 TURBO 2.0 16v,

K reg. 64000 miles, FSH, 12 months MOT, rare Gunmetal Grey, CD-player, s/s exhaust, lowered, alloys, e/w, e/m, a/c, c/l, PAS, VGC. £2,895.

Price: £2,895

considering mines a j reg n cost £3700 with 69000 miles (which WAS a bargain at the time) then this is a steal! I envy anyone buying a tubby right now.....

Sounds a cheap car - but you dont know the condition of the car until you see it...

The cheapies tend to be a bit 'rough or need work' MOST of the time - although not always the case.

Rash.

you have to remember these at 10-12 year old cars at the end of the day.. new cars are also getting cheaper and easier to obtain throo credit/loands from the deal, eg. you can walk into a fiat garage and come out with a brand new punto for about 5k and pay something like 15 quid a week.

Dont think the mkII will lose much more value tho.. how cheap can they go?

It's why they are getting into the Nova/saxo crews at the moment ..

Hopefully they'll kill them selves in the snotters and leave the good examples out there ..

end of the day people are happy to pay more for a well loved car.

If Jim was to sell his rev1, looking at 'guide prices' its worh £2500 ish somehow, me thinks he could probably get double that easily.
