Hi Guys

Please can someone tell me exactly where in very easy to understand terms I will find my Relay for the horn, the manual seems very vague. My Aygo is an 07 plate...

The horn isn't working, I removed the front bumper and put a meter on the live and its getting a constant feed of 0.15 of a volt even when I push the steering wheel and also there is no 'click' to be heard from the relay so I'm thinking its the relay that could be the problem. I have checked the fuse but its not blown.

Thanks

Toyota show it being in the main relay/fuse box in the engine bay

Thanks but I'm not sure I agree, reason being that on the horn wiring diagram it labels the relay 'R2' which is what it shows on the under bonnet diagram but.....it also states that is the relay for air conditioning which my car doesn't have so therefore that particular relay has never been there. The manual states briefly that some relays are under the drivers side facia inside the car....I am hoping someone can pinpoint its exact location for me.....thanks

Hi Guys, well, I took the airbag out and disconnected the horn wires, reconnected and now I'm getting 12v to the horn and I can hear the relay 'click', still no horn though. I fitted twin snail horns some time ago. I removed these and tested them, one of which is not working, the other is fine. I reinstalled the good horn on the car and it is now working fine.....at least I can now take it for an MOT!

I still have no idea where the horn relay actually is and Toyota either couldn't tell me or probably didn't want to, they just wanted me to book it in!!

I can only assume that the 'bad' horn wasn't allowing the circuit to complete. In addition the horn switch at the steering wheel wasn't making a connection.

Sorted now and I hope my experience might help someone else in the future. If anyone finds out exactly where the relay is, I would still love to know.

Well, I can tell by the response that you are all dying to know..............My Aygo passed it's MOT today with one small advisory re; nsr tyre which has been on the car since new (07) and is showing slight signs of perishing.......
