Swiping Out The Rear Wiper Rubber Insert

I need guidance as to how to replace the rear wiper squeegee/rubber insert. The front ones were easy to deal with, but I can't seem to get the rear one to move.

Thanks in advance for any help that you can give.

I have done this job myself so know it's possible but can't remember at the minute how I did it without looking at the wiper again. I'm currently in France though and without the iQ so if no one else replies before Friday when I return, I'll have a look and let you know what I did.

Craig.

Right, Sorry for the delay on this.

I have taken my wiper off and remember what I did.

What you need to do is take hold of the wiper arm with the rubber towards you and bend it away from you in the middle. The moving section at the end will pop out from the main arm and then separate from the rubber allowing you to remove that bit and squeeze a new one in it's place.

It will be stiff and it will feel as if it's going to break but they do come apart if you are careful. If your car is parked outside in the cold I would remove the wiper and take it indoors for a few hours to warm up before trying this. Cold plastic is more brittle and you may well break it.

Pictures might help below....
