Yaris 2004 Air Box Swap

Has any body ever replaced the air box from a yaris 2004 D4d for the air box or a yaris 1.3 vvt-i 99-05?

Is this even possible?

Given that they are in different positions in the car with different brackets and pipework and with different shapes, practically it will not be possible,

They look about the same width/size, brackets I can make or adapt and piping is easy to sort.

The reason for this idea was to get K&N or Pipercross panel filters to fit as the original air box on the deisel does not have the availability. I'm hoping the Maf sensor can be attached easily and solve the issue?
