Bluetooth Stopped Working Properly.

Hi, I have a 61 plate yaris with nav and bluetooth. Since I got the car bluetooth has worked fine, as soon as I get in it recognises my phone and I can use my steering wheel controls to scroll and listen to music that's on my phone and all my contacts are there too.

As of yesterday it's stopped working, it pairs as normal but won't see the music, if I press play on a track on the phone it plays through the stereo but I can't work it with the car controls. Also my contacts have gone and it only gives me an option to manually key in a number. I have unpaired the devices and started again but it's still the same. Any ideas?

Have you changed phones or updated the software on your phone recently?

Have you tried rebooting the phone? (complete power off and restart - to force the bluetooth drivers to reload)

Have restarted phone unpaired devices and paired them again, my address book is back now but still won't work the music from my phone.

Don't keep on re-pairing the devices, that's not the issue. The bluetooth drivers (on the phone) not working correctly is. Have you checked the bluetooth settings on your phone and made sure that music pass through is enabled?

Yes I've tried all I can as far as my knowledge goes. I haven't changed anything on my phone, no updates or anything. bluetooth works in all other respects, sending and receiving data etc.

Then check the settings on the NAV unit of the car. Not sure which version you have but in the bluetooth settings there should be 3 icons. One for phone functions, one for music and one for data (or Internet). They should all be enabled?
