Media Issue

I've just bought a 2009 Avensis 2.0 T4 Tourer and according to the Handbook I have a Panasonic 09 Media System. I have registered my iPhone 5s, and manually input 18 numbers and recorded against each number a name, 6 of these numbers are in speed dial. Sometimes when I select a speed dial number or select by voice activation, I hear the name but the display shows " No Name " instead of the phone number. Does anyone know why this happens, and offer a solution.

have you checked firmware version & if there is an update available?

Hi, is this a garage job or can I check and update the firmware etc myself ? If so how ?

if it's a Toyota oem system then I would imagine that you can do it yourself (you certainly can on my later car but that uses the Touch & Go system). On my 2007 Avensis the firmware updates used to be included on the updated satnav map discs.

Your help is appreciated, my system doesn't have Sat Nav so no discs to load. I bought the car from a Toyota Dealership so they are going to look at it in a few days time. Thans all the same.
