Hey guys,

I did a quote a few days ago using compare the market for my new avensis and it came out at £450 for the year, but I've just gone back on to buy it and its now £501 but nothing has changed except how soon I need it....

Does insurance really increase as you get closer to the due date??

Insurers can and do change their rates approx every 30 days - the change may be due to the rates changing between the time you got your first quote and the time you got your second quote.
