Buying A Part For My Toyota Seems Impossible

Hi

I would like to know how/where I can compare chassis numbers for my Toyota so I can buy a second hand part from a breakers yard. When I call Toyota (called two UK garages) they only want to sell me a new part. When I explain that I can't afford new and ask if they will check both chassis number they say they can't help.

It was fine when I spent 67,000 euros buying the Land Cruiser and the yaris but now.......they don't want to help us by simply telling us if the car the part is coming from will fit the car is is planned for!!

The corporate world is sick!

If anyone can help us find a way of comparing the two cars then I would be very grateful indeed.
