Imobiliser By Pass ?

Hi guys had lots of problems with 2001 Rav petrol,turns out the imobiliser light isn't going out when key put in,sometimes it does and engine will start then it won't go out for many tries. Did a search but didn't find anything definitive about cutting the imobiliser out of the loop I could live without it if the car runs. Many thanks.

Hi Paul and welcome to the club

I would doubt that members would be happy to see this info re mobiliser being posted or even if the moderators would allow it as it would jeopardize security to their motors

I wonder if the fault lies with the key it'self, do you have a second key?

Timpsons have a machine that can read the details on the key, maybe they could check yours by inserting it in there a few times

This is just a assumption of course
