I have just had my first Service on my Yaris icon 1.33 at RRG in Bolton.

Went for some fuel checking the oil and the inept mechanics have over filled it by 1/2inch.

Words fail me

A slow drive back to Bolton on Monday.

The mechanics might be incapable but the guys who wash the cars are fantastic.

You say you went for fuel and checked the oil - so had the engine been running just prior to checking the oil?

Obviously but in the time that it took to fill the car up and pay the oil level was 1/2over the max mark. So leaving it for any longer would result in an even greater overfill.

And if that was more than 5 minutes after stopping the engine then that is when Toyota recommend the oil level should be checked.

Well after returning to RRG in Bolton. And after being informed that I was checking the oil incorrectly, it seems that I was right car was overfilled no apology or explanation. Have sent Toyota GB an email.

Toyota technicians mechanics with their brains beaten out.

I would suggest sending an email to the RRG management, RRG Serviced the car, they are best placed to deal with any issues

All that Toyota GB will do is refer the matter back to the dealer. As Parts King has said, RRG were the ones who carried out the service, so they are best placed to handle your issue. Contact either the Service Manager or the Dealer Principal.
