the only bad point is that I'll have to take it easy for 500miles after it's all fitted. After that it'll be foot down, head pinned to the back of the seat again.... can't wait !!! :D

It's been about 8 weeks since I was last able to do that !

thats quite a long time mate :(

all those bits you've bought recently? have you got the garage to fit them?

or are you going to be very busy at the weekends now :D

Yeah.. I had a clutch on order from fensport for about 6 weeks !! got annoyed in the end and bought one elsewhere.

what bits ??

The flywheel, clutch and LSD ??

The garage is fitting them all tomorrow/wednesday.

Or are you on about other bits ?

I'm a mechanical !Removed!... the only things I've done to the car myself is...

Fit rev3 rear lights

Fit rev6 rear lights

fit TRD short shifter

fit Momo Steering wheel

fit Stereo

Fit rev5 spoiler

I think that's about it. Anything else I've got the garage to do.... lol

alot cheaper than other placed I tried tho. That's why I went with them, and because the owner owns a Supra TT and does the work on that. So I have some confidence that he knows what he's doing.. lol

I got quoted £150+VAT for the clutch and £100+VAT for the LSD. The flywheel won't add that much more onto the bill, so it's a decent price.

not a bad price at all

i have found this myself it really does pay to shop around

yeah.. I got quoted £350+VAT for the clutch alone from some places !!!

I was driving past the garage in a small town near me when I saw a Supra and MR2 parked outside it. It's not a performance garage etc, but the fact those 2 cars were parked outside it made me go in. Glad I did.

They'll have the car for two days tho... that's not good... but I suppose I shouldn't have so much stuff to get done.. lol

lol... well I'm driving down to wales near the end of the month. I'm going to see the Chillis in concert in Cardiff !!! Should be sweet.

Then upto somewhere else for a night.. then upto liverpool for a couple fo nights for a stag weekend.

Will be fun... and if I havn't by then, I certainly will have covered the 500miles needed to. I'm thinking it would probably be cheaper getting the train tho instead of paying for the petrol costs for the trip !

mite be cheaper jim, but think about the NECESSITY!

u NEED to wear them in fella, it'l cost less, cos ur only gonna go bugger 'em as u wont have beaded 'em in properly!

Plus train journeys r boring...

So am i, back out next friday :D

Jim, come to the big meet at Santa Pod on the 19th & 20th. You should have the 500 miles in by then (well you will have when you get there  ). I can see it now, in the left hand lane we have Jimlad and in the right hand lane we have Bibbs, that would be fun to watch

that would be fun... as long as Bibbs doesn't mind getting whipped.... ;)

I would consider it but I'm going to cardiff on the 22nd mate to see the Chillis.

It's alright Jimlad .. there are no corners or curbs to slide into .. you should be fine ..

I'm not taking mine to pod just yet .. gotta sort a few issues first ..
