Avensis Fob

Just bought a 2005 Avensis Estate Spirit very pleased with it but it came with only one key, I've sourced a blank fob but without the module, can someone point where I might source one and programme instructions. I don't think my car has an immobiliser fitted but how would I know?

The existing key is a Valeo.

Any help from a newbie would be appreciated.

You need an old key (you can supply it from anywhere, as long as it's a Valeo, same as yours), and new blank. Cut the blank after your key at a local locksmith. Fit the electronics inside. Program the key (the immobiliser and the remote control for the doors). There are how to's on the forum. Use search function.

Thank you for your reply, I will continue my search to include scrap yards there are one or two around Torbay.

Re the immobiIiser were all Avensis fitted with one?? I did take my supplied/existing Fob apart ( to check the battery) but I didn't see anything obviously looking like a chip embedded in the plastic which is where I assume it would be.
