I Have Full Jap History.... !

I was just checking through all my car "stuff". I came across a Service book thingy. It has loads of jap writing etc, so I don't know what it all means. But... it does have dates along with mileage on each service page !!

I didn't know my car had full Jap history. So now I can happily say that my mileage is 100% genuine ! :)

Will having full Jap and UK history make my car more desirable ?

History helps you sell the car.... not that everything else thats stuck on your car wont help much..lol.

lol... some crazy bam will want it the way it is/going to be.

I could trade it into a performance garage tho.. they would like it.

It's fun sticking stuff in/on your car... keeps me entertained !

It's good to know my 14year old car has only done 45,000 miles !! Must have been hardly used in Japland !

yeah, I'm constantly amazed that my L reg has only done 38,000. The guy who imported told me that as the !Removed! have such good public transport (Prescott are you listening???), they only take their cars out at weekends hence such low miles. Good for them and even better for us :D

You do know there is a large market in forged documents?

They can just get a new book, back date all the services etc .. to make it look genuine ..

it does look very real mate... some pages look old etc. A few are folded and stuck in the book.

The book looks quite old and used.

Then again you never know I suppose. I will assume it is genuine, if not someone has gone to alot of bother to make the book look old and used along with the sheets inside etc.

I'd just say Jim - until you can read Jap and talk to the previous owner you don't know what's happened to the car ..

I've got a history with mine too .. but it really means nothing ..

Low milers from Japland often means they were only used once a week. Usually driven extremely hard around a track and then parked up in a garage until the next weekend ;)

But it's not always the case, they could have been used for serious street racing too :P

Seriously now, keeping a car in japan costs a lot of money, so generally you would have thought someone with nice performance cars would know how to look after them and get them serviced regularly. We all know how strong the engines are and if something did ever go wrong, then where better to get it fixed?

I would go with you own gut instinct on this mate  Perhaps take it to a Japanese consulate (or known restaurant/comunity) and ask a Japanese passer-by to transelate it for you ;)

Heh, i like this mans style :D

I didnt get any jap history with mine, BUT a very detailed one from when it was imported in '98. My thoughs were its had one owener for the past 5 years in the UK, and its done ~40K miles, so there cant be much wrong with it.... still amazes me a 13 year old car has only don 90K  thats only 6.9K a year  i do 20K without trying :crybaby:
