Wiper Stalk Arm Replacment On A Carina

needed can anyone guide me how to replace a wiper stalk on a carina e 1.6 efi 16v 95 m reg as the haynes manual is a load of :censor: and where to get a replacement cheap :thumbsup:

Hi I own 2 Carinas one is a 93 model the other a 97 the thing is the wiper stalk is opposite sides on each model. the earier model being a saloon doesn't have the rear wiper function and I believe you have to remove the steering wheel to get at it. The 97 model is accessed by removing the steering shroud, this has one screw to the centre of the column and the other two screws can be got at by turning the steering wheel and looking down at the plastic shroud, there is one on each side.

after removing the column shroud undo the two tiny screws that hold the stalk to the column and remove the wiring plug.. replacement is naturaly the reversal.

With regards replacement, I paid fifteen quid for my 97 Carina switch at a local used carina parts shop.
