Hi Jerald and welcome

Engines today are more fine on the tolerances so do not need such strict "running in" as of old but still it is better not to rev it into the upper rev range at first, that does not mean you should drive around at less than 2k RPM all the time as that will not help.

Just drive steadily for a while, no hard acceleration, to give the moving parts chance to bed in and you will be fine.

Keep an eye on the engine oil level as it is possible that it may use a tiny amount until it settles down.

It will also let the tyres develop their maximum grip

Actually, it's not truth, wat the other one wrote -

exactly because the precision of the engine's liner is so high, you really need care about very.

i myself have apply a PowerCoding process at the mileage of 4km, straight
away after purchase (it comes from the dealership with 4KM on clock).

Then at the first day i have applied the paint protection (detailing, - the photo is attached)

now i have over 15K km on the clock, and the engine run is perfect, it's a Toyota Corolla 2.0 V, -

and it's 10,9 km / liter (city mode) fuel consumption now...

and the performance is just perfect !

Ever since I bought my new toyota innova since this is my first car. I make sure I take care it like a baby. So, yeah I hope my tips helps a lot.

1. Make sure to change the oil regularly.

2. Keep the cooling system working.

3. Keep the engine breathing

4. Check for leaks

5. Fill up your gas tank before it gets too low

6. Follow-up when automotive warning lights come on.

7. replace the fuel filter

8. Change the spark plugs and wires.

I hope this helps.

Same, even though I'm still driving around with pretty old car, but for now only, I tend to really take care about it.
