Verso Handbrake Adjustment

Hello,

The handbrake on my '11 Verso is quite loose, and need to be pulled a long way up before it's any use. I'd like to adjust it, but suspect that I need to remove the panel around the brake lever.

I've removed the screws and bolts around the storage compartment on the panel, but there is still some resistance at the front.

Has anyone had any luck removing this panel and adjusting the handbrake?

Has it got the small handbrake shoes? If so then adjust them instead.

Had exactly same problem on '10 Verso ..took back after full service as agreed this was missed although ticked as checked..told minor adjustment possible at handbrake end and done within ten minutes on return visit..good luck ..ray
