Toyota do offer double din Nav options but expect to pay in excess of £1500

See: http://www.toyota-tech.eu/Aim/Aim.aspx?pubtype=AIM&menuitem=3

Other wise with a fascia and harness adapter any standard shaped siingle/double din headunit can fit

I've been also looking for a double din head unit for my Auris. I want one with android os, so I can have spotify on my headunit. Problem is that they all seem to come from China/Hong Kong, so import taxes and vat will be pretty high.

What do you think is the best option then as I can't find anyone in the UK who sells a unit that fits straight in as an exchange for my own head unit ???

I'm looking into this too,

I think an Android based one with GPS might be a good bet as then you don't have the problem of Toyota map updates costing £££.

I'm even toying with the idea of a 2nd Hand Hudl (1) which are like £40 on flea, and have the built in GPS.

Hi, astoy, could you tell us the model and year of your car? We have Android head units for Toyota, Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS Quad-core head unit GA5164F and Android 4.2.2 OS head unit GA5167.

And you can download offline map and use the GPS function.

Here is a link for your reference:

If you have any question, just tell us. We will be glad to check for you.

I bought one of these Chinese Units for my 09 Auris, very easy to
fit, 5 minutes out 5 minutes in, connected all the wires ( inc backlight
) remote control for stereo refused to work, CAbus

worked OK ish for a few weeks before the sat nav would redirect me thru a river ( I belive this was a hacked version of I-Go ), but still nothing too serious.

After 8 or so weeks screen went, vertical and Horizontal line that
would dance around the beat of the music, very pretty, except when your
hopeless lost on route to somewhere near the back @ss of beyond.

My main problem was with the Chinese Seller, very reculant to accept
the return, so I got Paypal Involved, cost £48 to ship it back to China
for a replacement, seller decided to refund.

Lessons to be learned,

  • 1) you get what you pay for
  • 2) Chinese Products ( MIne was Ropse), I'd give 5 out 10
  • 3) Chinese Ali express Trade Tang and DHGATE, avoid you have little recurse if it goes T1T5 up
  • 4) If you choose to buy from HK, please be aware if a faulty occurs will cost you an arm and a leg to replace / return.
  • 5) Ebay or Amazon for your purchases, at least you are covered if your chinese headunit goes Pete Tong
